When you see a cat on our site that you would like to offer a loving home to, there are a few steps we need to go through before the adoption can be completed.

Once you have seen the photo on our page, please use the contact furballs button at the top of the page. We would also ask you to include any information on any children who live in the property and any current pets.

We will then arrange a time suitable to both yourselves and the homechecker to come and carry out a home check and discuss any questions you may have on the chosen cat. If, when we carry out the home check, we feel the cat you have chosen would not be compatible, we will explain the reasons why and tell you about any cats we have in rescue which we feel would be a better choice. The reason for this is, we want to home the cats to the correct families, so there is less chance of a cat needing to come back into rescue.

Once the home check has been carried out, we will contact you to let you know if you have been successful, and if so, to arrange for the family to meet the cat in their foster home. We feel this is the best option as you will meet the cat in the environment they have become comfortable with and see their true personalities. If all goes well with this meeting, you can either adopt the cat or arrange another time and date to fill in the adoption agreement and collect the cat.
